Recommend Tom Wildman to the Board of Selectmen to replace Nancy Carter on the Parks & Recreation Commission.~ (Motion:  Sidopoulos, 2nd:  Greene)

The Parks & Recreation Commission will work with Kathy Breen to establish a Yoga program for the town.~ (Motion:~ Greene, 2nd:~ Sidopoulos)

  • Requests/Proposals/Grievances
  • Parks & Recreation interview with Tom Wildman
  • Upon meeting with Tom Wildman and outlining our role and goals, we agreed to recommend him to the Board of Selectman to be an interim member of our Commission until the May 2010 election.
  • Yoga Program Meeting
  • Kathy Breen shared with us her resume and plans for a yoga program in Bolton.  We proposed the following dates & times.
  • Schedule demonstration sessions for each age group at the new Public Library to take place on March, 25-27 with registration taking place after the March 27 session.
  • All ages session at Little Pond on Tuesday and Thursday mornings running from June 1-July 16 (session 1), and July 18-August 31 (session 2)
  • Seniors session at Bowers Spring on Wednesday mornings running from June 2-July 7 (session 1), and July 14- Sept. 1(session 2)
  • Young adult session at Horse Ring on Monday evenings running from July 12-July 26 (only one session)
  • All sessions to have a maximum enrollment of 15 people.

  • Get approval from Conservation for use of Bowers Spring (Regan)
  • Determine Pricing information – Kathy Breen

  • Swim Program Meeting
  • We determined that we should start the first lesson for Swimming at Little Pond should begin at 9:00 am.
  • Decided to run some numbers and have a separate meeting to approve our plan for compensation for the Swim instructor and the assistant.
  • Review December 14, 2009 minutes and action items (Team)
  • The commission agreed to edit the meeting minutes from 12/14/09 with changes made during the meeting and forward to Pam Powell.~  (Greene)
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • With Easter fast approaching we determined to hold our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 3rd.  Easter is on April 4th this year
  • We determined that the Easter event committee would consist of, Karen Regan, Susan Greene, & Joyce Sidopoulos
  • Action Items
  • Contact Lori Nelson regarding use of the Public Library for the event (Sidopoulos)
  • Contact Police Chief to discuss the event, traffic issues, and asking the chief to read a story to the kids (Regan)
  • Price out materials needed for the hunt (Greene)
